Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER)/CWT002: Precipitation Chemistry: Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory

LTER/CWT002:
The precipitation chemistry is bulk at the main Coweeta Climatic
Station. Data were collected from 1972 through 1989 and include the
following variables: pH, NO3-N, NH4-N, PO4, Cl, K, Na, Ca, Mg, SO4,
and SiO2. Bulk precipitation samples are collected weekly using
plastic funnels. Weekly mean ion concentrations for the samples along
with precipitation amounts are used to estimate watershed nutrient
inputs.

NOTE: LTER data may be made available to individuals for research
purposes. Use of LTER data requires that NSF's LTER grant and the
Principal Investigator of the dataset be sent a copy of the report or
manuscript prior to submission and be adequately cited in any
resultant publications. Datasets are provided by the Coweeta LTER Data
Bank, a partnership between the Institute of Ecology, University of
Georgia, and the U.S. Forest Service Coweeta Hydrologic Laboratory,
Otto, North Carolina.
