Odense: Costs of Urban Growth, 1950-1975

The study forms part of an international, interdisciplinary project under the auspices of the Vienna Centre and involving 14 European countries. The purpose of the project is to examine urban growth within the past 25 years through an analysis of the economic and geographical costs and advantages of urban development. #The project also seeks to construct a theory, or theories, about urban growth. On the basis of international work in this field, i.e. on the basis of comparisons of the results from the various countries participating in this project, the project attempts to find new guidelines, new means of control, for public and private planning. #The present study focuses on the Odense region
