Bacterial community dynamics in oil and Corexit-amended surface water exposed to sunlight

The dataset contains the relative abundances of bacterial genera in dark and light treatments amended with oil and/or Corexit dispersant. The surface water was collected near the DWH site and incubated under the environmental conditions relevant to the northern Gulf of Mexico for 36 d. Light and dark treatments each include a control, those amended with Corexit alone, oil alone, and both oil and Corexit. Bacterial cells were collected at 0, 5, 10, 20, 27, and 36 days and analyzed by pyrosequencing.
