this study was conducted using VHLSS data, which stands for "Vietnam Household Living Standards Survey," a survey conducted by the General Statistics Office of Vietnam (GSO) to collect detailed information on the living conditions of households nationwide. According to the GSO, VHLSS provides information on population and demographics, income, consumption expenditures, living conditions, education, health, and occupation and employment information. The 2022 VHLSS included approximately 9,399 households surveyed regarding consumption expenditures. This number of households was selected from the overall survey sample, with the goal of collecting detailed data on household spending on daily needs such as food, clothing, health, education, housing, and other services.
