We have identified an essential transcription factor for endocrine pancreatic development, that binds to and possibly regulates other isletogenesis transcription factors, driving endocrine differentiation. The human embryonic stem cell line Mel1 differentiated to definitive endoderm, pancreatic endoderm and pancreatic progenitor cells was used for RNA sequencing.
