NHSRS - Enhancement Opportunities in Floodplain
收藏资源简介:
Last data update: October 30, 2018 Enhancement Opportunities in the Floodplain are areas that fall within the current floodplain boundaries and are adjacent to the core NHS features. These areas consist of old fields, estate lots, and agricultural lands, and fall within the landcover codes IAG, NAG, MOS and NH. Please refer to the Natural Heritage System and Restoration Strategy for information. Ortho-photography from 2013, LSRCA's landcover layer from 2015, and field truth surveys from 2016 and 2017. Landcover and ortho-imagery initially used is now outdated. Refer to section 3.3 in the LSRCA's NHSRS: https://lsrca.on.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/Natural-Heritage-Systems-Restoration-Strategy-opt.pdf Using LSRCA landcover layer, landcover labeled Intensive Agriculture, Non Intensive Agriculture, Manicured Open Space, and any Natural Heritage codes with the exception of OAO that fell within the current floodplain were selected, dissolved, and clipped to the boundary to create individual landcover patches. From these patches, those that fell adjacent to the NHSRS core were captured; overlap onto the NHS core, paved areas and structures were removed and the remaining polygons were identified as Enhancement Opportunities in the Floodplain.
