The present invention relates to a method for preparing grass fibres having the steps: a) providing grass fibres having a predefined fibre length distribution or average fibre length; b) suspending the grass fibres in water at a predefined material density; c) soaking the grass fibres for a predefined period; d) mechanically milling and/or dispersing the grass fibres; and e) producing a paper， board or cardboard web， and is characterized in that a surfactant is added to the mixture of grass fibres and water before one of steps b)， c) and/or d).
