Land consolidation procedures

The land consolidation procedure serves in accordance with the Land Consolidation Act (FlurbG) in the version published on 16 March 1976 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 546), as last amended by Article 17 of the Act on 19 March 1976. December 2008 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 2794) on the reallocation of land in order to improve production and working conditions in agriculture and forestry. At the same time, large-scale measures can also be planned and implemented, such as the construction of rural roads or the implementation of flood prevention. By decision of the Act on the Reorganisation of the Saxon Administration (Sächsisches Verwaltungsneuordnungsgesetz - SächsVwNG) of 29 January 2008, the state capital Dresden became the "Obere Flurbereinigungsbehörde" (Upper Land Consolidation Authority) and was entrusted with all tasks and powers incumbent on the Land Consolidation Authority under the Land Consolidation Act.
