This dataset was created by researchers from the Centre for Pattern Recognition and Data Analytics, Deakin University, Australia. It contains 22,508 academic paper abstracts related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and 31,706 abstracts related to Metabolic Syndrome (MetS). The dataset was collected via the PubMed API, covering literature from the earliest relevant studies up to 2015. It is designed to study the thematic content in literature and its complex temporal structural changes, with a particular focus on dynamic processes such as the emergence, disappearance, evolution, splitting, and merging of topics. The application scenarios of this dataset cover medical research, public health policy formulation, and scientific knowledge discovery. It aims to reveal trends and patterns of scientific research by analyzing thematic structural changes in literature, providing data support for studies in relevant fields.
