Digital Archive from an Archaeological Excavation at Minchens Lane, Bramley, Hampshire, August-September 2023

This collection comprises images, site records, reports, spreadsheets, and databases from an open area excavation at land at Minchens Lane, Bramley, Hampshire. This work was undertaken by Ecus Ltd in August to September 2023. The excavation recorded extensive, but heavily truncated, evidence for an unenclosed early Iron Age settlement dated from pottery evidence to the period c. 800-600 BC. Due to the truncation and dispersed nature of many of the features, few stratigraphic relationships were present and it was not possible to differentiate distinct phases of activity. The similarity of the finds throughout suggested a single, albeit possibly protracted, period of occupation.</p>
