Three sediment-charcoal samples were examined to recover organic fragments suitable
for AMS radiocarbon analysis. These samples were recovered as part of a geologic-mapping
project in the North Delta quadrangle in western Colorado. Botanic components and detrital
charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
Radiocarbon dates will be used to constrain the ages of the mapped alluvial-fan deposits.
