资源简介:
The fungal class Geoglossomycetes form terrestrial and stipitate clavate ascomata called earth tongues. Recent phylogenomic studies have shown that the Geoglossomycetes are closely related with Lichinomycetes, Candelariomycetes, Coniocybomycetes, and Xylonomycetes. The ecological characteristics of Geoglossomycetes are not well known, but it has been inferred that some species have a mycorrhizal or root-endophytic lifestyles based on indirect evidence, such as fungal DNA in plant root samples. Sarcoleotia globosa, the basal lineage of Geoglossomycetes, is a species known to form hyphal coils in vital rhizodermis of blueberry plants in vitro. In this project, the annotated genome of this species will be compared with the results of other Geoglossomycetes species that have already been published in order to discuss the evolution of plant-root associations in Geoglossomycetes.
