It is built and maintained by [Geoscape Australia](https://geoscape.com.au/) using authoritative government data. Further information about contributors to Administrative Boundaries is available [here](https://geoscape.com.au/legal/data-copyright-and-disclaimer/).\r\n\r\nThis dataset comprises seven Geoscape products:\r\n\r\n* Localities\r\n* Local Government Areas (LGAs)\r\n* Wards\r\n* Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Boundaries\r\n* Electoral Boundaries\r\n* State Boundaries and\r\n* Town Points\r\n\r\nUpdated versions of Administrative Boundaries are published on a quarterly basis.\r\n\r\nUsers have the option to download datasets with feature coordinates referencing either GDA94 or GDA2020 datums.\r\n\r\n**Notable changes in the August 2024 Administrative Boundaries release**\r\n\r\n* One new LGA locality ‘Talwood’ has been added in Queensland.\r\n\r\n* Two LGA localities ‘’North Talwood’ and ‘South Talwood’ have been retired.\r\n\r\n* There have been spatial changes (area) greater than 1 km2 to the ‘Glen Ruth’, ’Paluma’, ’Alpha’, ’Bridgenorth, ’Hillvue’, ’Stokes’, ’Balranald’, ’Dimbulah’, ’Koonamore’, ’Rapid Bay’,’ Claraville’, ’Delamere’, ‘Irvinebank’, ’Mantuan Downs’, ’Melton Station’, ’Euston, ’ Lochington’, ’Rosevears’, ’Warral’, ’Valley of Lagoons’ and ’Koombooloomba’ Localities.\r\n\r\n* There have been spatial changes (area) greater than 1 km2 to the ‘Shire of Derby-West Kimberley’, ’Shire of Wyndham-East Kimberley’ and ’Charters Towers Regional’ Local Government Areas.\r\n\r\n* Locality changes that occurred after the Geoscape’s cutoff period will be included in the November 2024 release (NT: Locality name change of ‘Beswick’ to ‘Wugularr’ and ‘Pigeon Hole’ to ‘Nitjpurru’, and NSW: Boundary alignment change between ‘Razorback’ and ‘Mount Hunter’).\r\n\r\n * August 2024 release includes updates for the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory State Electoral Boundaries.
