VPRS 469 Criminal Application Files

This series consists of files of applications made by defendants or on behalf of defendants in matters before the criminal jurisdiction of the courts. Applications are for a variety of matters such as the postponement of a trial, a change of venue for a trial, applications for bail by a defendant held on remand, applications for a special jury, for legal aid and for other matters pertaining to the conduct of a trial. Files consist mainly of the affidavit(s) submitted to the Court outlining the application and the reasons for it and may contain the Order made by the Court if the application was granted.
