In 2023, pension funds in the United States managed the largest share of the leading 300 pension fund assets worldwide. Pension funds in the U.S. managed around 37.9 percent of the top 300 pension fund assets that year. Pension funds in Japan managed the second-largest share of the top 300, which was 10.2 percent. The third-largest share of the top 300 pension fund assets was managed by pension funds in the Norway, which was 7.3 percent.
