Combined analysis of volatile compounds and extraction of floral fragrance genes in two Dendrobium species

Dendrobium is a kind of traditional Chinese herbal medicine and ornamental plant. In this experiment, the flowers from two species of Dendrobium with high-scent smells Dendrobium moniliforme (D. moniliforme) and light-scent smell Dendrobium H1 were selected. The aim of this study was to explore the key genes expression profile of floral biosynthesis by combining volatile constituents determination and transcriptome analysis in two different Dendrobium species.
