Disaster Education and Postsecondary Educational Institutes: A Systematic Literature Review

This project aims to offer a comprehensive compilation of the global literature on the role of postsecondary educational institutes in emergency and disaster management education. As such, a multi-database (e.g., SCOPUS, ERIC, and EBSCO) literature research from 2011-2022 resulted in 76 contents (e.g., articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings). The dataset includes the following information on 76 contents: i) complete reference information and ii) abstracts. This is the first known attempt to document and compile contents on role of postsecondary educational institutes in emergency and disaster management education. This dataset can be useful for information source for practitioners and researchers. The former can use the dataset to identify the current practice of collaboration between academics and practitioners while the latter can use the database to identify themes and patterns to demonstrate knowledge gaps and synthesize current knowledge.
