Field Experiment Data

Data collect at York University, collected on two seperate occasions. First data set was collected October 13, 2015 at the Osgoode Woodlot, with the weather being 14 degrees celsius being both cloudy and windy. The second data set was collected a week later on October 20, 2015 at the Boyer Woodlot, with the weather being 15 degrees celsius with it being cloudy, windy and rainy. During both data sets 3 different locations were found where the canopy coverage overhead varied at 3 dufferent levels; low, medium and high. To determine the level of coverage a square was made with our hands at arms length and made by self judgement. At each of these locations a total of 15 bowls were placed, 5 of each color; red, yellow and white. Each bowl had a fair amount of soapy water in it to capture any insects whom may wander in. After a two hour wait period the bowls were rechecked and anything caught inside the bowls were categorized.
