Coronal activity cycles in solar analog stars

We propose continuation into AO13 of the ongoing longterm program for themonitoring of coronal cycles in a sample of five solartype stars in threestellar systems. The targets have been monitored continuously since AO1,yielding the first unambiguous evidence of cyclic behavior in the Xray emissionfrom the coronae of cool stars. Thanks to the longterm monitoring our programis starting to show evidence of the complex behavior of stellar cycles, withsignificant cycletocycle variability becoming apparent. The observationsrequested in AO13 will allow us to capitalize on our longterm investment ofXMMNewton observing time and to continue assembling a unique longterm data setthat is likely to remain unmatched for a long time. truncated!, Please see actual data for full text [truncated!, Please see actual data for full text]
