Genome-wide identification and characterization of AINTEGUMENTA-LIKE (AIL) family genes in apple (Malus domestica Borkh.)

According to our previous study on adventitious bud regeneration in apple, we constructed seven RNA libraries using leaves after 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, and 21 DPI in regeneration medium. In addition, we used untreated leaves as control (0 DPI). Transcriptome analyses were performed on all eight RNA libraries. To study the potential function of MdAIL genes in the process of apple adventitious bud regeneration further, the MdAIL gene expression levels were calculated using the FPKM method.
