AmeriFlux CA-MR5 Mattheis Ranch - E5 North

This is the AmeriFlux version of the carbon flux data for the site CA-MR5 Mattheis Ranch - E5 North. Site Description - The Mattheis Ranch is a 4977 ha working cattle ranch located near Duchess in southern Alberta, Canada, and is mostly characterized by native prairie vegetation (dominated by grasses: Hesperostipa comata, Pascopyrum smithii, Koeleria macrantha, Bouteloua gracilis, and Poa pratensis) . In 2010, this site became a research area managed by the Rangeland Research Institute (University of Alberta), offering the possibility of long-term monitoring of ecosystem dynamics under management regimes typical of this region. The E5 tower site has a flat microtopography and uniform vegetation cover.
