Dataset on the environmental growth conditions of methanogens, homoacetogens and sulfate reducers

This dataset describes the environmental growth conditions of the three major hydrogen oxidizing microbial groups (methanogens, homoacetogens and sulfate reducers) as detailed for each individual strain. Optimum and critical values for temperature salinity and pH are given for each strain along with data on pressure tolerances and special nutrient requirements where this information is available. The references are listed after each strain to enable more detailed reading.
