A Solar Thermal Storage System Aspen Plus Dynamic Model with Control

This Aspen Plus Dynamic file contains the code to simulate a solar thermal storage system dynamically using solar insolation and ambient temperature as forcing functions. The user should download and install the custom unit operations provided for the stratified tank and solar collector which are available online (http://dx.doi.org/10.17632/pv4znnnv3j.1). Detailed instructions for activating the installed components are available in the “Computer Based Training” section of the Aspen Custom Modeler Jump Start (Tremblay & Peers, 2015).
