Expression of Human Lung by Donor Type and EVLP Type

Study on lung transplantation encompassing a comprehensive and detailed investigation of differences at transcription level between DBD and DCD donor lungs. Lung tissue samples were collected at the end of cold ischemia (CIT), at University Health Network in Toronto, Canada. Lungs were donated by brain-death donors (DBD) and cardiac-death donors (DCD). Selected lungs were placed on the Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion (EVLP) circuit for assesment and repair and all other lungs were directly transplanted (Non-EVLP).
