Genome sequencing and assembly of Escherichia coli from the Australian silver gull

This study investigated the range of Escherichia coli isolated from silver gulls in three colonies in New South Wales, Australia, carrying antimicrobial resistance genes conferring resistance to critically important antimicrobials used for effective treatment of human infection, including carbapenems, extended-spectrum cephalosporins and fluoroquinolones.
