Microclimate and primary production in lichen communities of Livingston Island (Maritime Antarctic). Sensitivity to global change. 2002-03

Long-term records of the microclimate (temperaure, PAR, relative air humidity) and chlorophyll fluorescence, as an indirect measurement of photosynthetic activity, of to key species from the Antarctic: Usnea antarctica and Usnea aurantiaco-atra. Microthermistor sensors (Grant, UK) for air and thalli temperature, PAR sensors (Sky, UK) and humidity sensors (Vaisala, Finland) were used. Data were registered continously every 30 minutes.
