The loss of functional caspase-10 promotes inflammatory cell death in macrophages and a fibrotic response of hepatic stellate cells, which may affect the pathogenesis of PBC. Overall design: To explore the role of caspase-10, we performed RNA-seq using samples from caspase-10 or caspase-8 KO U937 macrophages, upon immune stimulation such as that with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), TNF-a, or Z-VAD+cycloheximide+TNF-a (ZCT).
