Number of acquisitions carried out by major ad holdings 2016-2019

In an annual study of merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions in the marketing services sector worldwide, it was found that Havas, headquartered in Paris, France, bought six agencies in 2019. Dentsu was the leader with 12 transactions that year, however, compared to previous years, the company has significantly slowed down with their M&A activity.
