A zoning overlay district is placed on top of one or more existing zoning districts and establishes additional, sometimes stricter, zoning restrictions. An example in this map is the Beltline overlay district, which places additional restrictions on development within Atlanta's Beltline. To download all of the zoning districts in the City of Atlanta, please use the Zoning Districts for City of Atlanta dataset on this Open Data portal website.
