Marine ecosystems

The marine ecosystem team had two objectives: First, to assess how different drivers collectively affect biological productivity. Second, the team studied the diversity and interaction of water column organisms (microbes, algae, and consumers) and the benthos to identify the pathway of nutrients entering Hudson Bay through marine gateways in regulated versus unregulated rivers.该海洋生态研究团队确立了两项核心研究目标：其一，评估不同驱动因子如何协同影响生物生产力；其二，该团队针对水层生物（微生物、藻类与消费者类群）及底栖生物(benthos)的多样性与相互作用展开研究，以明确营养物质经受调控与未受调控河流，通过海洋通道进入哈德逊湾的传输路径。
