Developmental and functional responses of rice root system to soil water and nutrient conditions

Generally under field conditions, soil water environment is rarely constant. We have been paying special attention to the ability of the plant to change root development as environmental conditions change, which is known as phenotypic plasticity. We have evaluated the functional roles for water uptake and now have been trying to understand the molecular mechanisms.
