One bulk soil sample and thirty-seven detrital charcoal samples were examined for the presence of organic material suitable for radiocarbon age determination. These samples were recovered from several Holocene terraces along the White River on the White River Apache Reservation, near the town of Pinetop in east-central Arizona. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated. A total of nine radiocarbon dates were obtained from charcoal and one charred botanic remain in these samples.
