An antagonistic interplay between YAP and RUNX where RUNX proteins abrogate YAP-mediated transcription of EMT and Stemness associated genes in mammary epithelial cells in an interaction dependent manner. Overall design: YAP and RUNX1 or RUNX3 were stably expressed together or alone in MCF10A cell line. Genes that are co-regulated by both were studied in the context of breast cancer.
