Berks County Existing Trails

Existing local and destination trails located in Berks County. This data originated from the Berks County Greenway, Park and Recreation Plan adopted in December 2007 and has been updated on an as-needed basis. August 2019- Attributes for "Use", "Access" and "Shared Use" were updated to reflect the following: * "Use"- Designates Multi or Single use. * "Access"- Designates ways users can access the trail. "Shared Use"- Designates the type of shared use. August 2022- Attributes for "Class" were updated to reflect the following: Destination- a trail or system of trails that may attract visitors from outside of the local vicinity to utilize it. Destination trails can cross between regional planning areas or jurisdictions, such as other municipalities. These trails may provide connections to two or more areas of interest. Local- a trail or trail system that is contained within one municipality or local park.
