Field reconnaissance mission to south-east Turkiye to the affected area of the February 2023 earthquake sequence. The mission focused on collectin data around three objectives:
(1) observing the performance of modern construction that presumably followed the building code;
(2) collecting data on the impact of “risk category” assumptions or use of base isolation on seismic performance, and
(3) documenting and identifying trends in the recovery process.
