Submitted Biennial Reports from Annex I Parties

Following provisions of decision 2/CP.17 developed country Parties were requested to submit their first biennial report (BR1) to the secretariat by 1 January 2014 and their second and subsequent biennial reports two years after the due date of a full national communication.

The second biennial report as well as the textual part should be submitted to the secretariat by 1 January 2016 through the biennial reporting common tabular format (BR CTF) application. Questions relating to the use of the submission portal should be addressed to: [e-mail].

COP 18 by its decision 19/CP.18, adopted the BR CTF for the “UNFCCC biennial reporting guidelines for developed country Parties”, noting that developed country Parties, in accordance with decision 2/CP.17, shall use the reporting guidelines for the preparation of their BRs and will provide information on all the elements of the guidelines in these reports. Also, COP 18 requested the secretariat to develop an electronic reporting application for the BR CTF. The BR CTF application was released by the secretariat for Parties’ use in July 2013 and improved in 2015 taking into account feedback received from Parties on the preparation of the BR1 CTF. Following provisions of decision 19/CP.18, developed country Parties shall use this application when preparing and submitting their BRs.
