These 2 data files contain the TEX86 and UK'37 sea surface temperature proxy data from Ocean Drilling Program Site 1168, covering the Eocene to recent (35–0 Ma). These were updated compared to previous versions. In order to comply with FAIR open science principles and from recommendations in the community (e.g., https://doi.org/10.5194/bg-22-6465-2025) we here add metadata on the samples: sample IDs, depth types, age source, weights of sediment extracted, amount of C46 standard added to the GDGT samples (in ng/g), C46 standard peak areas.
