Collected Publications, 1955-1998

This dataset represents a group of paper records (a \"series\") within the Steven Lawrence Gortmaker papers, 1955-1998 (inclusive), 1977-1997 (bulk), which can be accessed on-site at the Center for the History of Medicine at the Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. The series consists of reprints, bibliographies, brochures, and other printed resources collected by Steven Lawrence Gortmaker as reference for his research and professional activities. Publications concern a variety of topics related to child, adolescent, and adult obesity, including: anthropometry and body composition; cardiovascular health; diet and nutrition; health and physical education and promotion; education and intervention program evaluation; physical activity and fitness; systolic blood pressure; gender, age, and cultural differences in physical activity, obesity, and body composition; predictors of adult obesity; adolescent dieting; television effects on metabolism; and genetics of body composition.
