资源简介:
The emerald ash borer (EAB), Agrilus planipennis Fairmaire, is a highly destructive invasive pest. Emerged A. planipennis feed for about 2 weeks before sexual maturity, and host volatiles can help the freshly emerged EAB to locate host plants. During mating process, sexual mature male EABs primarily find mating female via visual searches at long distance, and olfactory cues were more critical at short range. We can see that olfactory and visual systems of A. planipennis are critical for adults, and they play different roles at newly emergence and sexually mature stages. Thus, it is essential to detect the expression characteristics of chemosensory proteins and opsins at newly emergence and sexually mature stages of A. planipennis.
