This is the step towards understanding the De Novo transcriptome of wild Cymbopogon martinii based on essential oil biosynthesis and Silicon transporter genes, biochemical and molecular regulatory processes and expressions of genes involved in terpenoid biosynthesis pathway, is highly desirable to improve the quality and yield of essential oil. we performed de novo transcriptome assembly by employing Illumina sequencing. This work provides the first insights into the essential oil biosynthesis of aromatic grasses, and the identified candidate genes can be a great resource for biotechnological and molecular breeding approaches to modulate the essential oil composition.
