The plan of subdivision approval process is outlined by the Planning Act and allows land to be divided in a comprehensive manner. A registered plan of subdivision creates new, separate parcels of land and can be legally used for the sale of lots. Each registered plan in this data set is identified with a registered plan number, and also includes city file number, regional file number, registered date and assumption date as well as the agent company and applicant company names. Users can also consult the local Land Registry Office in Peel Region, operated by Service Ontario, for more information about registered plans.
