The Legacy of Pine Plantations on Fire Severity

This repository contains the data used in our study evaluating the role of pine plantations in wildfire severity and post-fire vegetation recovery in Mediterranean ecosystems. Our research focuses on three large wildfires in Spain, analyzing fire patterns across different vegetation types and management conditions. We aim to provide insights into fire severity and recovery patterns in order to support smart forest management policies. A list of the names, brief description, main use and original source of all relevant datasets used is also provided. Note that all datasets used here are open-access and freely available from their respective sources (terms of use and citation policies may vary).
