资源简介:

This collection includes observations of wind speed across the lowest ~250 m in the Continental United States, both onshore and offshore. All datasets were formatted in a common format across all sites. The data were used to validate wind resource assessment models in a study submitted to Wind Energy Science. The authors would like to acknowledge all the people and institutions involved in the collection of observations used for model validation. Some data were obtained from the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) User Facility, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science user facility managed by the Biological and Environmental Research Program. Some data were obtained from the Wind Data Hub funded by U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy's Wind Energy Technologies Office operated and maintained by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory at https://wdh.energy.gov.We acknowledge the use of data from the WHOI MetOcean Data Initiative, collected by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). We also thank the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) for providing access to the Tall Tower Dataset. Data were also obtained from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet (IEM), maintained by the Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University. Finally, we acknowledge the Hanford Meteorological Station (HMS), managed by Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) for the U.S. Department of Energy, for the provision of meteorological data from the Hanford Site.
