Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation and Excavation at Uplands Farm, Stone Cross, East Sussex, 2018 and 2019

This collection consists of images, spreadsheets, databases, vector graphics, reports, GIS site record data from archaeological mitigation works by Wessex Archaeology. Work occurred at Uplands Farm, Stone Cross, East Sussex, from 2018 to 2019. The evaluation trial trenches were positioned to target anomalies identified in those surveys. Of 70 trial trenches excavated, 42 of them contained archaeological remains and/or deposits, with three concentrations recorded within the site. The excavation recovered finds and environmental information related to settlement and salt production (Romano-British) ranging from the Mesolithic to the Early Medieval.
