This dataset contains raw data related to phosphate chemical conversion coatings (CaP), polylactic acid (PLA) biopolymer coatings, and combined CaP-PLA bilayer coatings obtained on the surface of the commercial WE43 Mg alloy. The data is associated with the article "Deposition and Corrosion Performance of Phosphate-Polylactic Acid Composite Coatings on WE43 Magnesium Alloy", published in Surface & Coatings Technology. – 2024. – Vol. 478. – Article 130419. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.surfcoat.2024.130419. All data are provided under CC0 license. The dataset includes Scanning electron microscopy (.jpg format) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy data (.txt format), X-ray diffraction patterns (.csv format); X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra (.vms format); Fourier-transform infrared spectra (.csv format); Electrochemical impedance spectra (.z format); Calculations in Medusa software (.dat and .wmf format).
