Position, sea surface temperature, barometric pressure, and wind speed/direction measured by seven Global Drifter Program drifters launched in the northern Gulf of Mexico during the Grand Lagrangian Deployment (GLAD) experiment in July 2012. Four of these drifters were SVPB type, measuring position, sea surface temperature, and barometric pressure only. The remaining three drifters (with anemometers on board) also recorded wind speed and direction.
