Supporting data for "Development of a novel silver complex fluoride for caries management"

This dataset contains the experimental data generated during my doctoral research project, which focuses on the development and evaluation of a novel silver complex fluoride (SCF) for caries management. The study employed complementary in vitro models, including cariogenic biofilm challenges and pH-cycling systems on human dentine and enamel, to assess antibacterial activity and demineralisation inhibition.The dataset is organised into several key parts:Biofilm Assays: Includes data from colony-forming unit counts and confocal laser scanning microscopy (live/dead staining) evaluating the antibacterial effects of SCF compared with silver diamine fluoride (SDF) and control groups.Mineral Analysis: Comprises micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) lesion depth and mineral density parameters assessing mineral changes in dentine and enamel.Discolouration Assessment: Contains quantitative analyses evaluating tooth staining following treatment.All data are structured to ensure transparency and reproducibility. No confidential or sensitive personal information is included.
