"Alicyclobacillus halophilus" SO9 isolate: SO9 Genome sequencing and assembly

"Alicyclobacillus halophilus" SO9 has been tested and described as heterotrophic ferrous iron oxidizing bacterium. It was isolated from a metal-rich habitat of a former mining area. Genomic analysis reveals a variety of resistance mechanisms towards various metals. The isolate is studied for application in different bioleaching strategies.
