Brief data on chemical and mechanical properties of agel leaf fiber-reinforced composite

Agel leaf fiber or Corypha utan leaf fiber (CULF) is one of natural fibers grown in Indonesia. This dataset presents FTIR result of alkali-silane treatment on agel (Corypha utan) leaf fiber. For alkali treatment, 4% (w/w) of Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) was used. Three concentrations of 3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl were introduced (0, 5, and 10wt.%) as the silane treatment.

Data on tensile and 3-point bending (bending) results are also provided in this repository. Tensile and bending test specimens were fabricated following ASTM D638-03 specimen type 1 and ASTM D790-03, respectively.
