BioCondition Ecological Survey Dataset: Simulated Reference Points and Survey Data from Three Grazed Agricultural Sites

This dataset contains the ecological survey data used for predicting BioCondition scores using elastic net regression models. The dataset includes both simulated reference points (SRPs) and actual survey point data collected from three agricultural study sites (Farm 1, Farm 2, and Farm 3). The data combines BioCondition scores, bird species presence-absence records, vegetation indices (Enhanced Vegetation Index - EVI, and Fractional Vegetation Cover - FVC), and landscape-level patch attributes including connectivity, context, and patch size measurements. Data Collection:- Three agricultural study sites with varying ecological conditions- Bird species presence-absence data collected using passive acoustic monitoring from multiple points per site and from existing eBird datasets- Vegetation indices derived from satellite imagery (step interval and regression values)- Landscape metrics calculated for different high-condition patch size scenarios (8,000-10,000ha, 80,000-100,000ha, 480,000-500,000ha) Files Included:- SRP datasets for each farm (simulated reference points)- Survey datasets for each farm (actual survey points) This dataset accompanies the R code repository for BioCondition prediction modeling and is designed for ecological condition assessment and predictive modeling applications.
